Humoj Acids Are Complex Organic Molecules That Are Formed By The Breakdown Of Organic Matter. Humoj Represents Approximately 70% Of The Soil Organic Matter And The Humoj Acids Represent 60% Of The Humoj. They Are The End Result Or Final Phase Of The Humification Process Of The Humoj. The Absorption Bands Indicates That The Principal Organic Groups Present Are Phenolic Acids Carboxylic Oh Aliphatic CH,Carbonl,Conjugated Carbonyl Or  Aromatic CH2 Or CH3 Or Ionic Carboxyl And Possibly Others. The Humic Acids Have A Large Cation Exchange Capacity Which Varies From 200 To 500 Meq. Per 100 G ph7. Also There Is Evidence Of An Increased Intensity Of Oxygen Absorption In Plant Tissues Of Humic Acids In Respiration. It Has Been Proved That Calcium And Phosphorus Uptake Is Greatly Increased In The Presence Of Humic Acids.
